José Parejo is the Founder and CEO of Jose Parejo & Associates (JP&A), an international boutique firm specializing in strategic intelligence, geopolitical risk analysis and anticipatory foresight for governments, multinational corporations and institutional investors.

His work focuses on helping decision-makers understand and anticipate structural shifts in geopolitics, energy systems, financial stability and strategic competition, translating complex global dynamics into actionable strategic insight for boards, sovereign actors and C-suite leadership.

Before founding JPA, José held senior managerial and executive roles within two of Europe’s largest energy corporations, where he designed and directed global intelligence architecture and led crisis management operations across high-risk regions. His responsibilities included geopolitical positioning, international negotiations and the protection of multi-billion-dollar strategic assets in volatile environments.

His professional experience combines field experience and strategic advisory work across the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Central Asia and the Asia-Pacific, including crisis response during political upheavals, evacuation operations, and post-conflict stabilization environments. This field experience informs his analytical work on risk anticipation, strategic resilience and institutional decision-making under uncertainty.

José serves as Spain’s delegate within NATO expert groups focused on energy security, hybrid threats and anticipatory intelligence, contributing to analytical work on strategic culture, systemic risk and evolving security dynamics across the Arctic, Baltic and Black Sea regions. Member, Energy & Defence Panels, Real Instituto Elcano.

His analytical track record includes early strategic assessments on the systemic economic and political impacts of COVID-19 — including shifts in global demand patterns, sectoral consumption dynamics, and macroeconomic disruptions before they were broadly recognized — the structural implications of the Euromaidan crisis for a wider Russia-Ukraine conflict, Libya's post-Gaddafi trajectory across short-, medium- and long-term horizons, including corporate posture and investment environment, and the geopolitical logic and expected duration of the Qatar Gulf crisis.

José regularly advises senior executives, institutional leaders and policy decision-makers on strategic foresight, geopolitical risk, crisis governance and long-term competitive positioning in complex international environments.
